A caution stays on an enhanced CRB check for life or as bednobs says until you are 100. The caution is regarded as 'spent' for the rehabilitation of offenders act after 4 years.

EDDIE51 - In regard of the ROA 1974, cautions become spent at the time when they are given i.e. immediately. Conditional cautions will be regarded as spent 3 months after the date on which they were administered.
