Has anyone sampled their red hot secret hotel deals, and what was your experience?

I tried to bid on something one time and could not get the website to accept what I was bidding. It was for several days and I don't know if the bid was supposed to be per day or the entire time. It would not take anything that I put into the system. You do not know what hotel you are bidding on, so I could not call and find out what the problem was. So i reverted to going on line to the area hotels and getting a good deal directly.

I didn't realise there was a bidding system involved. Don't think I'll bother.
Martyn Lewis recommends (in Tesco mag) last minute.com's version, so I might try there instead.
