Has anyone out there seen "The Mousetrap".  Is it really that good, was it worth seeing.  It must have something going for it, I believe this is it's 57th year.

Is there anything else I should see at the Theatre. Not into musicals. Thanks.

I saw it a couple of years ago. It's typical Agatha Christie, so if you like that sort of stuff you should go. I enjoyed it. I thought it would be a bit darker than it was, but it's almost a comedy in places. Don't go if you're looking for a brilliant piece of contemporary theatre, it's just a good night out with a good old fashioned whodunnit.

Hallo wotsit, I can appreciate your not being into musicals, but consider Willy Russell's Blood Brothers. I'm not really into all this Andrew Lloyd Webber nonsense either, but I saw this many years ago in the English Theatre in Frankfurt - quite simply one of the most memorable theatre experiences I have ever had.

Xollob, thanks for that. The missus has been on at me for ages to go and see The Blood Brothers. I'll add it to my list.
Woman in Black - a really good scary old fashioned ghost story. Brilliant night out.
Agreed - The Woman in Black - genuinely scary. And try the newly opened "Theatre of Blood" at the National Theatre with Jim Broadbent. Most tickets are 10. It's a Vincent Price horror movie live on stage!
A friend and I went to see the Mousetrap about 20 years ago, and the funny thing is that we now disagree on 'whodunnit'! One of us obviously hasn't got as good a memory as we think!

I saw mousetrap a few years ago It was good but not worth the hype you see just as good in provincial theatres. Agree blood brothers is very good also Les Mis I know its a musical but it is infectious once you've seen it you have to keep going back.
