I have asked our headteacher if I can take my two children out of primary education for a family holiday, we are taking the bulk of the holiday in the Spring Bank holiday, but the flights were Monday to Monday, and our children will miss ONE day of school. I thought the law entitled you to have at least 10 days away from school. What has also annoyed me, is that I know other families that are taking the week before Spring Bank and have got authorised absence for FIVE days. How should I tackle my meeting with the head to get my point of view across?

Any tips for getting through labour?
