eBookers is one of the most long-established and well-respected firms in the UK travel industry. You do need to take care to check what it is you're actually booking, but otherwise there should be no problems. (For example, if you're offered a package holiday then you'll get all of your money back if the airline goes bust. But if you're offered a 'flight + hotel' deal, and the airline goes bust, then you'll still be contracted to pay for the hotel).

One of the best things about eBookers is that you can talk to a real person (at standard phone rates) 24 hours per day. Call 0203 320 3320. (New bookings are only accepted between 0730 and 2345 daily).

However you might still do better to book your flight and accommodation yourself. There's plenty of competition on UK to Rome routes, so fares are usually quite low. (Ryanair, in particular, has flights from lots of UK airports, into Rome Ciampino, which is closer to the city centre than Rome Fiumicino which other airlines use).

E-bookers is a decent enough site. Like all others, they have occasional problems but the vast majority of their customers are happy.

If the deal you are considering sounds too good to be true then you may not have understood it properly or - just possibly - it's an error.

sorry my mistake its e-dreams.com drgghhh having a mare of a day
Are you sure? That web address seems to be unrelated to holiday bookings!
http://e-dreams.com/

Do you mean this?
http://www.edreams.co.uk/

If so, my first thought is that it's a Spanish company
http://webwhois.nic.u....x=0&WHOIS+Submit.y=0
which doesn't appear to be an ABTA member (or hold an Air Tour Operator's Licence). So you've got little or no protection if they go bust. Contracts are under Spanish law, and could therefore be hard to enforce.

Buenchico yes its http://www.edreams.co.uk/ many thanks
I'd be extremenly suspicious of e-dreams - you've only anonymous premium rate numbers to contact them, their London 'address' is an accommodation address for dozens of companies and their Paris address looks to be an apartment block
They`re owned by TA Associates which are a pretty large (American) investment company and edreams (at least a few years ago) was the largest interenet travel booking company in Southern Europe.
There's some first hand reports here :
