I don't want to sound really stupid, but i'm flying to Paris with airfrance on tuesday by myself. I usually fly by easyjet so I know how they work. I was just wondering if airfrance work the same way as easyjet do with regard to checking in.. Hand the person behind the counter your passport and reservation number and that's you sorted?

It does say on the website you can check in at a kiosk or at the check in desk.. but I just wanted to see if anybody else knows so I don't mess it up!!

Thanks :)

Air France? Air Merde! They used to be brilliant but since they started subcontracting to some British airlines their service has been rubbish. I last flew with them 6 years ago and would never do so again. If your flight isn't full it has a good chance to be cancelled. 8 hours in CDG airport is not my idea of a good time.
I'm rather confused as to how anyone here could usefully expand upon what's on the Air France website:

Yeah your right, they sent me an email that confused me. Thats all.
Prepare to be royally ignored for the duration of your flight. Despising customers is core Air France cabin crew training.

Lol great! And I thought Airfrance would be a bit fancier than easyjet.. Oh well :(
I don't understand all this Airfrance hating. Iv'e flown with them numerous times business class and economy long haul and city hopper- never had a problem. In fact they are much better than some other flag carrier European airlines.
Depending on which airport you're flying from Airfrance share the desks with KLM. You only need to give them your passport. They will access all of your details with this. The difference from EasyJet you will have is that you will have a seat assigned to you and won't be offered priority boarding or any of those other cons.
Last time I got an AirPants flight - long haul - the cabin looked like a wild party had taken place in a skip by the time we got to Paris. Over the 9-hour flight the crew did not bother to come round with bin bags - came round once with food, didn't take away afterwards - there was literally garbage everywhere. And the cabin staff were the first off the plane!
In the ash cloud crisis last year, KLM's desk was queuing round the block, Airpants next to them was empty, with lots of adverts up saying how Airpants, KLM and Lufthansa were one big happy family. Did they assist their comrades in air? Are you insane? Staff sat filing their nails and refusing to answer any questions about what the deuce was going on.
Which route was that Mosaic? It seems I have been extremely lucky with them. I will say that I have had the most headaches with KLM than any other airline. Their 'customer service' is horrendous. Lufthansa, on the other hand, usually have their own desks and are very well organised.
