Also would be over a long weekend...

Just looking at the website now
Try icelolly.co.uk
sorry its .com
Also try travelrepublic
Try staying in the UK. There plenty of marvelous towns and cities to explore such as Oxford, York, Bath to name but three. Then you have fabulous coatal areas all around the UK such as Devon and Cornwall, the Welsh coast or Scotland. Try booking in a Travel Lodge or Premier Inn which are located in city centres. These are cheap, clean and comfortable. You dont need the hastle of going abroad.
Hope I'm not too late:-
Yes, Icelolly.com are good, but they are only a broker & prices can be inaccurate.
Try - teletextholidays.co.uk , lastminute.com , theholidayplace.com , onthebeach (can't remember if is .co.uk, or .com)
Another cheap option if it's only for a weekend jaunt is a mini cruise (both P&O and DFDS have good deals - just check their websites)
Hope this helps, have fun !!
