Does anyone know if the extension of the AP1 motorway between Arrasate and Vitoria Gastiez open yet? When we tried to use it last October, it was still being constructed, despite Satnav and Viamichelin saying it was open! Thanks.

no idea, but have you tried looking it up on google earth? If it's there and has traffic jams on it, it's probably open...

Don't know about Google Earth being up to date .

My house is easily identifiable on it - but I can quite definitely date the image to 1999 from the absence of a lawn.....

Oh well, I can now answer my own question, in case anyone is interested. Having just driven from UK to Algarve and back, the extension to the AP1 motorway in Spain is partly open, the elevated section near Arrasate is not yet completed.
