York? anyone recommend somewhere to stay?

Hi, Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay in York i will be staying away from home for work Monday night to Friday day so the cheaper the better but i dont want to stay in a dirty hole, the reason im asking is i have found people who provide accomadtion but when i look at a review they arent good recommentdations any help would be great cause im fed up searching through internet, thanks

I live in York... there are sooo many places to choose from. One of the more popular hotels is the Monkbar Hotel. Its central and pretty decent! The travelodge in York is good too... just depends what type of accom you want!
