Hi, we are planning on going here next year. Will be myself, my husband and my little girl who will be 18 months by then. Has anyone been before? What is it like? Any recommendations for things to see and do in the area and what is the weather like in September? Many thanks.

One thing I would say is check nearer the time to see if the new departures terminal has been completed yet.

last year the arrivals lounge, which had been renovated, was good, but departures is unbelievably small, with few seats. You can have to wait an hour outside the terminal in the sunshine too. The new building will sort all that.
Mind you, the airports only a small part of the holiday, and I found the island pretty, the food good, and the locals very friendly. The sun and berr are great too. Enjoy it.
we stayed in laganas but often rode to Alkes on our quad bikes and car, its nice family orientated and has some nice views.
The airport was small but they get on with it and eventually get u moving so for such a good holiday its worth the hassle!
