Generally an image editor (Photoshop, Gimp or similar) will allow you to open the file as a gif and save as a jpg

This is provided the gif is not animated.
Pretty much any image processing software (e.g. PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro etc) will be able to do this just by clicking File, Save As...
Paint.Net is an excellent image editor and is totally free

Is nobody going to mention that Microsoft paint will already be installed on missprims computer and will do the job perfectly well. suggesting downloading a full featured graphics program to do one simple job is a touch of overkill IMO.
The easiest way is to use Adobe Photoshop. Using it you can save your image in any format.
A lot of methods
1.Screenshot, then save as jpg. Some chat software has the function.
2.Microsoft paint: open the picture and 'save as', select jpeg...
3.Professional graphic software(Photoshop, fireworks, illustrator ect...)
4. Or a shareware image editor, serch it at www.dvd-creators.net
