i want to get my hubby a sat nav for christmas, and thought it would be easy - just get a basic one and there you go.
But, no! I haven't got a clue what they're all on about!
Can anyone advise on what features to look for? Or better still recommend one for under £100.
Thank you x

I have an earlier version of this one, and am very pleased with it.

It includes traffic reports, which can be very useful.

it depends on what your hubby wants to do with his sat nav. If its just for the uk, just go to halfords and see what deals they are doing. They occasionally do have half price deals. garmin website is another option. I have a garmin nuvi 300 and i find it to be very user friendly. failing that a couple of hours searching on the internet should get you a good deal. If you want to play safe I would recommend a tom tom. you should easily pick up a standard one for about £100.
If you buy one from Halfords remember that if it costs over £100 they will fit it free of charge! Good deal actually and at least you know it works then. Plus any problems and you can go back and ask them. Can't do that with the internet.
Fit it free, Charlie?

They are not exactly hard to fit, and if it is for a Christmas present, that's no good.
