Please can anyone advise me which digital camcordre to buy - i've seen the compact flip cameras but would really like to be able to zoom in. thanks

Go to an independant camera shop (not one of the big chains) and ask them to show you what's avaialable in your price range.

I use a JVC Everio and think it's great. I think it cost about £150

Thanks squarebear - I've just had a look at it. I just want it to take pictures of grandchildren, easy to use and download, small and to be able to zoom in when they aren't looking. Price seems very good

It would be ideal for that. I don't have much experience with camcorders but I love ours.

it's a great little camcorder (but cost me about £350 when I bought it a few years ago)
