I can't understand why the gridlines are showing on print preview, but are not printing. When I close the workbook down and re-open it prints ok. What is going on?

Is it because you haven't clicked 'save' before printing?

Have you done the following
Page preview, set-up, sheet and then click next to "gridlines?
If not then this should do the trick.
Question Author
Yes, the gridline box is ticked on the Page Set-up. It's very strange, I work on excel spreadsheets all the time, and this is the first update that I have had this problem with.

No, even after saving, the lines are appearing in print preview, but not printing. Both the view and print gridlines boxes are ticked. My hair is turning grey, I can't think of anything else to try. It is my financial year-end at work and it's driving me crazy!
Question Author
Just to let you all know that the problem appears to be the printer. I have managed to print to a photo-copier with no problems. It could be that an update is needed to the printer software, although it is only 3 months old! I'll post the solution when it has been sorted.
