Hello all,
has anybody ever heard of a situation like mine, its a bit long winded so please bare with me (easiest way is to actually type the whole conversaton....

Last night i recieved a text message off an unknown number

THEM: ''ha ha thats cool x are you in bed x'' i ignore it presuming they had the wrong number. ten minutes later a second message came through
THEM: '' guess you are asleep xx'' again, i ignored it.

This morning i had another one from the same person saying
THEM: ''are you there'' so i text back
ME: ''who are you?!''
THEM: '' Chris, you sent me a picture message of a little man waving''
Me '' Did I? I dont even have your number''
THEM: '' Thats ok anyway it was a nice pic, cartoon type not to worry at least u got sense of humour'
ME: '' Im confused. There is nothing in my sent items. I have no cartoons on my phone, i dont have your telephone number so dont see how its possible for me to send you a picture message that i dont have?''
THEM: 'yes strange but how else would i reply if a mesaage comes up i reply to the number that sent it and obviously the number is yours. must be some kind of error''

Anyway that was today, I had a similar thing happen a few months ago, i had apparently text an old school friend telling him that my internet had broken. Same thing, I didnt have this guys number and my internet had never broken.
Do you think my number has been duplicated? i think its a bit strange how I actually knew the one person though, shall i ring my service provider?

Sounds like your phone may have been cloned.
just out of interest - IS your name Chris?
If your phone is a recent purchase, do remember that numbers are recycled when contracts end. Maybe yours is one of those or someone is misdialling? B.
