Hi could anybody help with this query, my sister has just signed up to AOL and she is a complet novice with computers, she is unable to get the AOL icon as a shortcut but has somehow managed to see this in her Start Up menu. She has to open Internet Explorer has from there she can get AOL up but does anybody know how she can do this without using Explorer and have AOL set as her opening page. She got in touch with AOL and they said they would send her a disk. I know a lot of people say to keep away from AOL but it's too late as she has taken them on now. Please please any info would be very much appreciated.

Has she the Quickstart shortcuts activated from the Start Properties settings? Usually AOL install puts one there .. but also on the desktop.

Thanks Albags, do you mean from the IE start up Properties, what topic heading would she find the quickstart shortcuts in?
Just go to where it is in the start up menu, right click and go to send to look for create a shortcut and click on that, that should give you the shortcut on your desktop, is that what your looking for ?
