How easy is it for someone to open a .docx file in Word 2003 given that the 2003 version uses .doc files?
What about Word 2000?

I need to send a .docx file to someone that may not have Word 2007 on their computer.

You can also save Word 2007 files in Word 2003 format.

Just go to Save As and choose the "old" format to save the file in.
