How to turn of Keyboard on my laptop?

A bunch of the keys on my laptop have stopped working so I've bought a USB keyboard which I place over the top. Works great but it occasionally it taps one of the remaining keys that do work on the original laptop keyboard.

So I'm after a method of completely turning off the original keyboard.

I've tried uninstalling the driver but it still works find after the laptop is restarted.

Any help?

Cheers

in this instance I don't think make and model maters in the context of the question.

the only sure fire way I can think of is to disconnect the on-board keyboard. (not that hard, but now we do need the make and model of the laptop LOL)
BTW, if it's a fairly "common" make of laptop replacement keyboards can some times be found on ebay really cheap.

I have zac

I've answered on the original post http://www.theanswerb...s/Question844548.html
I'd be tempted to open up the laptop and reseat the keyboard cable (or get someone to do it if you don't feel up to it).
