ipod gone wrong

i tried to get the latest update for my ipod, after 30 mins it said it was unable to get the update and now when i turn it on it says to connect to itunes but if i plug it in it does not notice it is pluged in if that makes sense.

i cant use it until it is storted

Try resetting your ipod. Hold down the menu and centre button at the same time until the apple sign appears. About 10 seconds. Let it restart then connect to your computer. Use a usb socket on the computer not the keyboard. If it is recognised then update or restore.
