I have Windows Media Player 11 on my laptop (Windows Vista}. When playing any video from my camera memory card, the video runs slow - about 3/4 of normal, but the sound runs at normal speed, finishing before the video. Anyone any idea what`s going on and how to synchronise sound and vision?
Many thanks.

What happens if you copy the file tom your hard drive and then play it from there?

The same thing happens. Other (downloaded) videos play fine. The videos play perfectly on the camera. They also play fine on Quicktime. I`m getting very despondent with windows media products generally. I`ve also tried toggling the play speed settings on WMP but nothing happens - the controls don`t appear to be clickable.
you've possibly not got the correct codec installed for the type of file.

Download and install the klite codec pack, it includes the correct codecs for pretty much all video and audio file type

Leave all setting default during the install, apart from on the select components page, where you can take the tick out from next to media player classic.
