Answerphone comes on too soon

I am on Vodaphone and my Samsung phone E720 only rings once before the answerphone comes on. I dont have a handbook - do i need to contact Vodaphone or Samsung or does anyone know how to change it please ? Ive tried dialling the 121 option but cant find a suitable solution there. Also - how do i get it to accept photos ? I have to get them off the internet at the moment.
