Hi. Sometimes when I use I.E I get a separate bit at the bottom of the screen that would seem to indicate a window called ITBarHost is running. It is not there all of the time and does not show a new window if I click on it. I believe it is part of the I.E program. Can anyone tell me what it is and what it's function is please?

I've just been reading about this and it could be a part of I.E. 7.
Look in START/ Programs/ Accessories/ System Tools/ Add Ons.
It could be in the Add ons and it may be possible to switch it OFF.
I have I.E. 6 so I can't look to see if this is either possible or correct.
My apologies if I'm wrong about this.
You may glean some information if you Google for ITBarHost.
Best of luck.
ITBarHost is spyware, it is not part of IE.
ITBraHost turns off the main menu of the browser and greys out the option to turn the main menu on or off. To Get rid off this useless program thats only function seem to be to slow the browser down, is to click start>run and type chkdsk /f then click OK a command prompt comes up and you are asked if you would like to run this when windows restarts type Y or yes and press enter. Now restart windows this will get rid of the pest progrm and you will have your menu back and the browser will be back to the usual speed.
