I ordered some electrical goods on-line with the co-op electrical but unknwon to me at the time my bank had put a fraud prevention stop on my debit card as I had been making a few purchases, (they didnt have my new phone number so had to write and tell me) so as I couldnt pay on-line for the goods I range the co-op and got their sort and account no and paid for the goods thru internet banking. The monies left my account straight away and according to my bank should of been credited to the cop-op within 2 hrs, this was on tuesday and up to close of business friday they said they have still not received my payment, I checked with the co-op and bank that I had entered the correct sort and account code. The co-op are saying it could take up to 4 days to reach their account, is this right. I shall be phoning them first thing tomorrow but if they still say they have not received it where do I stand. Can I cancel the order and could my bank find out exactly where the money is, thanks

Not all online transfers are "instant". Some take up to four working days to arrive.

Your bank can trace your payment if it goes astray.
4 working days is usual - I don't know if Tuesday counts, so Monday would be 4 days.

I think the only time it would take less than 4 days would be if you and the co-op had the same bank.
