is the vista firewall any good or should a better one be used, like zone alarm?

the Vista one is much better than the XP firewall because it can be a two way firewall, but it's still not the greatest. and most the outbound filtering is turned off on a default install.

I'd go for zone alarm and turn the vista one off personally

When you install Zone Alarm the Windows one is turned off automatically.

I'd install an internet security suite (kaspersky) virus, malware and firewall ... all integrated, no conflicts ....

in fact - looking at the system tray - that's exactly what I did
