I have several people from Poland asking to buy my items from eBay; however, I only ship to US & Canada; says so on all my auctions. However, I continuously get request from Poland. I am starting to think it is a scam and/or same person. They always say "hi, would you send to Poland via USPS First Class Mail Intl? The shipping should be around $3. Please let me know." (or something very similar); which is a dang lie because shipping from US to Poland would only be $3 if I was shipping a feather! Is there some scam I have just not heard about yet?? Or is this person, or people, just stalking me??? lol

I'm assuming you're in North America.

Well, providing they pay up front, and cover all the shipping costs as well, I can't see that it would be a problem. It could be that you're selling something that can't be obtained in Poland - unlikely, but possible.

You could try putting a large shipping cost for Europe on your auction. Might put them off.
I get this too, selling in the UK.

Some may be genuine, but I think others are definitely trying to scam you.

Read the PayPal seller protection policy T&Cs; it probably says that you're only covered if sending the item to certain countries, perhaps just USA, UK and Canada. (I think that's how it is for PayPal UK, anyway.)

Thank you for your responses.

The point here is that I state in my auctions that I only sell to US and Canada; so they should not be so cocky and tell me to ship to Poland and act as if they know the shipping. cost.

Same email from 4 different users...hmm...
sounds dodgy. I'd ignore them, and if you do agree to sell make sure the money's in your account before you ship (and that any cheques accepted have actually cleared - call your bank, just because it appears in your accounts doesn't mean that the money's cleared)
If you get the money before you send the goods, whats the problem?

The problem?

I ONLY SHIP TO USA AND CANADA

They seem adamant about buying several of my items and insist it cost $3 in shipping for them.

Problem? No....weird!
Ah, you didn't mention the 'same e-mail from four different users' bit earlier. That being the case, this is obviously some sort of bad behaviour. I'd report them to eBay. Good luck.

Actually, I did. :)

"I am starting to think it is a scam and/or same person. They always say "hi, would you send to Poland via USPS First Class Mail Intl? The shipping should be around $3. Please let me know." (or something very similar)".

Yup. :)
exchange rate?
i've sold stuff as uk only but the winning bid came from athens! he agreed to pay the postage so i sent it and he was very happy, no problems. those using the euro are getting a better deal buying from the uk, so this could be the same for you.
UPS shipping for only $3? Blimey! Something fishy there!
