I'm due to drive in Europe this summer and I've been getting my Tomtom ready. I've set it to remind to drive on the right and I was just wondering how this works. Is it just a reminder at intervals or is the sat nav really that clever it registers if I'm on the wrong side of the road?

thanks

The Garmin satnav does know wher you are so that it can determine your route and how to turn off from a motorway.
I've just got back from Spain with my Tomtom.. it reminds you to drive on the right on start-up only. it won't know if you're on the wrong side of the road and it won't keep reminding you! my tip? if you usually wear your watch on your left wrist put it on the right. every time you come to a junction you'll remember to stay on that side as your watch is right in front of you.

someone suggested this to me and it really did work!
