printing to size

can you help...i will be sending a picture via email
i can only scan at 8 x 10 the recipient needs to print at
12 x 10 how can i do this so when they enlarge
the image comes out proportionate

The recipient will need to use the print option "print to fit" or "scale to paper size". It will not be perfect as they are having to artificially enlarge the picture to fit the paper and so it may come out a little "blocky".
a4 is about 8.5x12 (8.57 x 12.12)
so it's not going to work on any level
the only way to maintain the aspect ratio is to overblow the image and then crop it

portrait to portrait 8x10 enlarges to 10x12.5
(on a4 9.7x12.13)
portrait to landscape is 12x15
(on a4 12.1x15.13)

so you'll need to crop to get an exact fit



your scanner should scan to any size
