Saving Text messages on Nokia 6233 to PC

Can I do this? If I read the user guide correctly, I can only do it if the messages are on the SIM card. Following a serious illness last year, I received loads of texts that I moved into my Saved Items folder. which is apparently on the phone memory. I would like to save them to my PC but can't find a way to do it. Have been onto Nokia websites, user guides, tech support, etc. but am told that I can't move messages from the phone memory onto the Sim card. Can anyone assist in baby language please?
