Is it possible to get Google Earth to invoke Firefox rather than Internet Explorer when clicking on info in the Google Earth layers?

I have Firefox set up as my default browser but Google Earth insists on opening up a new Internet Explorer window rather than a new Firefox tab, which is what I require,

I can't see any options in GE to change this behaviour. Any clues? Thanks in advance.

PS I am running GE "natively" so I this doesn't involve GE add-ons etc.
