Medion laptop, operating Windows Vista,

On start up I have to wait until almost everthing is loaded, before I can press the button that connects me to the internet.

According to the manual this button is a quick launch button that enables or disables the wireless LAN function.

Is there any way that I can have connection to the internet, immediately I switch the computer on?

Afraid not. (Possibly you have one of the very expensive models with Sideshow - a display on the "outside" face of the laptop - but even then I suspect not). The button only turns the wireless connection on and off (it has to be on to allow internet connection). Most laptops have them as it saves battery power to turn off the connection when not in use.

Mind you, laptops will generally remember its last setting, so if the wireless was "on" when you turned off it should automatically come on once everything has loaded.
Should read:

"Possibly if you have"
But it is far better for your firewall, antivirus, antitrojan, antispyware programs to load BEFORE you connect to the internet, isn't it?

Surely you only have to wait a minute or so
