Immigration - the cost to the UK

I have just finished watching Motorway Cops on BBC 1 tonight (25th September) and I am FURIOUS.
This program follows the exploits of real motorway cops and the people they catch.
Tonights program featured nothing but foreigners and the problems they cause on our motorways.
For those that say immigration does this country no harm then I suggest you watch this program on the BBC iPlayer.
A huge amount of police time is wasted when catching foreign people on motorways including illegal immigrants, people from the EU driving while drunk with no license and no insurance.
Also immigrants driving cars with bald tyres, or driving stolen cars and so on.
Because of language problems a simple matter can take hours to sort out because of finding a translator, or trying to find out the REAL name of a person who is an illegal immigrant or driving on forged papers.
While watching it I began to think the program had been made by the BNP.
It is frightening how many people come from other countries and make no attempt to follow our laws, and put all our lives at risk by driving dangerous cars, or driving while drunk or with no insurance.
We are such a soft touch and it makes me very angry.

Couldn't agree with you more, vehelp, just mentioned to the other half that the Cops must get very disheartened when they know what sentence/meagre fines, etc. are given out to these criminals when they are caught. Did anyone really expect those two illegal immigrants to turn up at the Liverpool or Croydon centres? Anyone who thought that they would must be living on cloud cuckoo land. No wonder we're a laughing stock.

Totally agree with you VHG, a lot of police time is wasted, and that programme was only a tiny proportion of the stuff that goes on all over the country every day, involving immigrants.
I used to work at a criminal solicitors and the cost of finding an interpreter for such people is huge, without everything else.

I see the typical lefties on here have adopted their usual ostrich approach.
Do you really think this is not a problem? Ok it is not all day everyday but it does present a very real problem for certain forces particularly in port areas.
As for foreigners driving cars. Fine so long as we have not paid for them and they are 100% legal. Same goes for people in this country regardless of race/color or creed.
