Wondered if any kind person could help please..

we have a laptop & desktop computer , with operating system Vista on both machines, when i open internet explorer 7 on the l/top and put adobe.com web page on it works fine,
but when i try to put it on to the desktop the adobe.com web page freezes & internet explorer won't respond, i've done a system restore, and it will work for so long, but then, freezes again, all my other web pages work fine on the desk top, it's just the adobe that i'm having trouble with,
i've been on the laptop into the adobe help and also googled but can't seem to find an answer anywhere :(
is there anyone that could advice/help me to sort this out, would be very grateful.

This may not be the problem, but test if Shockwave and Flash work on the browser that freezes.

Adobe use that technology on the site so check they are both installed and working OK.

You can test them here:

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/
You can also test they are working on this non-adobe site here

http://www.explorelearning.com/index.cfm?metho d=cCorp.dspTest

You can click on the "test animation" button to test them both.
