hey chuck how are you as i know ur a colchester boy do you know where i can get my little tape from my camcorder on to dvd have tried to do it via pc and neighbour has tried with no luck. is there a shop or a company u know of

I've gotta do excatly that for my dad next time I go to see them (sometime this week... it's only Braintree) if it works ok I'll send you a message on facebook and i'll do it for you.

What sort of tape is it though? there are lots of different sorts for camcorders?

it is a jvc mini dv dvm60 60 min well that's what it says on the tape

OK I'll have a look into that for you and get back to you, one more question is does the camera have a firewire or USB port on it?

If you have a dvd recorder it's as simple as plugging the three coloured wires into the matching sockets, and choosing the channel that the camera feeds into (look at the dvd channel on your tv, then toggle the inputs on your dvd handset until you see what's playing on your camcorder.)
Then simply record same as a tv channel.
