I have a 1mbps broadband connection. But sometimes it takes ages for a web page to load. My old dial up connection was quicker. It's like it "hangs", then it will burst into life and load really quickly. Then a few pages later it will go slowly again. I have win98se. Any ideas?

That's the way of the interweb. Dropped or stale connections to the web server I suspect. Try another browser like Opera or Firefox. That may help.
You're lucky to be able to use broadband with 98SE. I had resisted moving to XP, but had to, when I wanted braodband.
