Password for messages on my phone?

I want to set a password for my messages (texts) so when i go into security and click that i want this option it asks me to enter a password, at this point i'm guessing it's askign me to create one,so i typed in the digits i wanted and it said incorrect password?

I never created a password in the first place so i don't knwo what this this? my phone never asks me for a passowrd or anything, so im confused..

My phone is a samsung z140v please help..thanks

I think the defaul pasword on samsung phones is 00000000 (eight zeros)
