Best budget digial camera?

Can anyone recommend a digital camera for under �100. Nothing too fancy, just a simple, easy to use camera with good battery life. Preferably one that will work in freezing temperatures as I'm off to Lapland soon. I know I'm asking alot for a camera under �100, but the battery life is most important as I've heard that freezing temperatures drain batteries. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd agree with the above recommendation.

Suggestion: get a few SD cards, and a few batteries, given where you're going.
