Machine refuses to print and says there is a paper jam, every time,t and his is not so !!! While examining the machine I found two coiled springs loose within the paper tray area. The springs are not connected to anything. .

They are about 2 inches long and half inch in diameter. Can't see where they could have come from!!

Can any one please help me: let me know where they belong so I can use my printer again? The coils were not covered in the Manuals at all.

I had a paper jam in my HP printer and when I had fixed it, it still said there was a paper jam and it got really annoying, and then I reaized the rear door where you clear the paper jam from wasn't tightly closed so after correcting that it suddenly worked again. But I don't know about the springs. You could try typing in to your search engine something like "inner workings of printer", and the kind it is and see what comes up. If you know someone who has the same one, they might know.
