I'm trying to create a template for future Microsoft Word documents, that I will be producing. But, I'm struggling to over-ride the formatting that Word puts in itself. Is there any on line or simple to understand reference I can source on this and other furure Word issues I'm likely to discover (things I wish to do are create a template that has my own style body text, 3 or 4 heading styles and also be able to edit bullet/tab styles ? Thanks J

on the menu bar click on Format, then click on Styles and formatting. Over on the right a window should appear that shows you the styles, right click on anyone of these and choose modify.
