When this error appeared, I printed the instructions on what to do, carried it all out, restarted my pc, but the error kept appearing.
Any ideas??
Thanks.

yeah,
Ditch Norton.

Try AVG & Zonealarm, both are free and much better and more reliable. You will need a special norton un-install tool from symantec to get rid of Norton though, its harder to clear out than some of the virus's it ignores.

just google and theres plenty of guides and recomendations
Di,

Is this the procedure you followed?

Lots of Norton errors appear after a corrupt Live Update installation, so make sure you successfully run the step 2 option
