my virgin medis homepage has been replaced by a page saying i have loads of viruses does anyone know how i can get my homepage back and is there a free scan and removal programme?thanx in anticipation.

The same thing is happening to my daughter, I was just about to ask if anyone knows what she can do about it. Whatever you do don`t click on any recommendations from this page. A friend of mine had her homepage hijacked a few months ago, she downloaded anti virus gold, (paid for)It turned out to be a virus in itself. She had to call someone out and have her hard drive formatted.Hope someone can come up with something to get rid of this page.

Can you give a quick description of the problem, like a program name or which product is being offered to "cure" you.
Anti-spy programs only do so much and sometimes a more specialist tool is required to remove registry entries too.
