I've got a lot of rolls of camera film in those little plastic tubes. I can't tell which ones have been used and which ones are new. They have all been opened now,and the ones that were new, have lost their ''new'' smell. How can I tell which are new, and which ones have been used? Help! By the way, this is ordinary camera film I'm talking about, just in case I'm confusing anyone.

Hhhmm this is tricky but if you look at the little tails of film coming out of the canister then you'll see that all the new ones have the same length so you might be able to tell by this but otherwise you'll just have to have them developed....this is why a good tip is when you take the film from the camera you should wind the little end of film inside and that way you know that film has been exposed.
If the film has been used and rewound then there will be none of the film visible outside the cylinder.
Similar to sft's answer...the only way to know and not guranteed by any means is to compare the film tabs. If there is a kink or a crease then chances are it has been wound on to the camera's spool. If it is smooth then you could assume it hasn't been used. Otherwise you will just have to bite the bullit and process them all!
I am buying 12 Kodak disposable cameras to use at my wedding reception.  The expiration is 2-05.  Is the film still good?  Will the pictures be ok?
