I want one, but it's very pricy and O2 won't let me upgrade to one without getting a new number.
Here's my idea:
Is it possible for me to buy one in Spain, sim-free, then bring it over here to use it back in the UK with my current SIM?

Sim free phones seem cheaper in Spain than in the uk (300 euros vs 338 quid). I presume I'd have to upgrade my existing tariff with O2? Is this do-able?

Would I have to buy one with a specific brand to ensure it was unlocked?
