im looking into buying an ipod video, either 30gb or 80gb, and i was wondering a couple of things, such as what is the file size of an average movie when compressed to 640x480, which is the recommended compressed size, and also what program would compress/reduce the resolution of the videos. thanks very much

You want the 3GP converter which will change avi files to mpegs ready to put on your ipod (Think it works with putting mpeg files in as well, but not certain...) . It reduces the size by a factor of about 4, so a film will probably be about 170 megs.
