If I dump my 5yr old windows'98 PC and buy a laptop, I suppose it's just a case of introducing the power and USB cable. But what about the Talktalk software, I assume that would have to be put on the laptop via the CD rom that came with talktalk ?

That being so, the disc failed to register originally and the information had to be put on the PC manually via a talk-through by the talktalk team. So presumably I'd have this problem again ?

Contact talk talk in advance and ask them for a replacement disk.

I had this problem too! I got so fed up with them saying that another disc was in the post, I decided to go to my local Carphone Warehouse and picked one up from there!

It's alot easier and hassle free!
