Can you back up sms from a sony k750i to pc please?

I've always been able to do this with nokias but the sony software doesn't seem to do it. Anybody have any ideas please?

Not a 100% but can`t you back it up via USB on the Sony Ericsson File manager software that came with the phone

No it doesnt seem to read any files whatsoever - that's why I posted this question because that seems strange. Unless my software is not working properly. Pics and movies are fine as is the mp3 part. Any ideas? Thanks!
