l`ve just gone to burn my own cd and one of my little "darlings" has burnt 1track onto the disc and left it..... is that the disc dead or is there something l can do????

Unless the disk is re writable then its dead.

If the disk hasn't been finalised (or the option to add more has been chosen) then you can add to it. However, who cares, with the price of blanks nowadays!!
