hell o nee dhelp in disabeling encription on comp please running winXP trying to help a friend sort out her wireless network gettin signal but no internet thanx

Has she got a router,also I thought you needed an encryption code to start the comp wnen your away from home.

hi she is goin through modem router computer and wireless to laptop but its connecting to the laptop but not getting internet on it thanx

I Think you'll find you need a Router and not a modem,when I got my new laptop I was told by my ISP that I would have to purchase a Router to connect my computer first and then the laptop.If you are in any doubt call your ISP and they will tell you and probably help you.

I forgot to sat that I had a modem also but when I got my laptop my ISP told me I needed a Router to connect my computer and then as I said my laptop.

hello the main computer is through broadband then through router but its showing on the laptop as connected via a network card in the laptop but just been able to get onto the internet on laptop internet is fine on the main comp thanx
