The 3G phone network /nokia 6280

My son is wanting a new mobile for xmas he is after a nokia 6280 . Does anyone have any opinions on this phone. I have found a good package on pay as u go with 3G what are they like ?

My nephew had a problem with 3 pay as u go in that he had to top up every month even if he hadn't used all of his credit. It may be worth double checking this in the small print.
