How do you learn how to draw and texture 3D objects on a computer, like on one of those drawing programs? I bought a very cheap 5.00 CAD CD a few years ago, but I never got round to learning how to use it ' probably because the help file was too confusing for me. I was wondering, do all of these 3D designers learn from the help documents and tutorials that came with the CD, or does it help to be taught, like maths or something?

Download something like Bryce or Maya from kazaa then spend 30 on a book from Amazon. It is very confusing at first but once you get the hang of it it is very fulfilling. People go to college to learn CAD or Maya, so don't be too put off if you find it difficult. Get on the web, there are lots of people in the same boat as you: after all, you are not born with this information.
