Emailing DVD RW footage?

A friend had her project featured on BBC telly this morning and I recorded it and edited on a DVD RW through my hard-drive recorder. Now I want to send the (15 minutes) of footage to her via email. I usually stumble through stuff like this but I can't seem to email the disc content. Any straightforward ideas would be much appreciated.

never underestimate the data transfer speed of DVD and first-class mail..... <g>

Try zipping it first, this will reduce file size to an acceptable level.
